It should be noted that all trainings took place in conditions as close as possible to the real ones. The leadership of the exercises, the Anti-Terrorist Center of the Security Service of Ukraine, praised the actions of all participants.

The exercises took place from July 6th to 9th, 2021 in Izmail and Bolhrad controlled border guard areas, under the general coordination of the Anti-Terrorist Center at the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Odessa region. In addition to the involved security forces, servicemen of the Izmail border guard detachment, 10 mobile border guard detachments DOZOR and the Izmail Maritime Detachment took part in exercises. The exercises were monitored by foreign partners.

On the Danube River, under the cover of the Maritime Guard, the Marines landed on the shore from the medium landing ship Yurii Olefirenko and, together with Security Service of Ukraine units, the Military Law Enforcement service neutralized the “terrorists” in the port of Izmail.

Also, according to the legend of the exercises, border guards neutralized sabotage groups. The first of them, by prior agreement with a local resident, was to get to Romania on a motor boat across the Danube. The state border guards, having operative information, blocked all access roads leading to the border, as well as organized checkpoints and ambushes. Therefore, the sabotage and reconnaissance group was detained while trying to cross the border illegally. The second group of “terrorists” tried to illegally cross the state border from Ukraine to Moldova with forged passports through the Vynohradivka port of entry. But, as for the first time, the border guards were ready for a “meeting”, strengthening the state border and regime measures directly at the port of entry.
